Advice For The Heartbroken Libs On How To Survive The Next Four Years
Written by a wise person
I received this email from my friend Carroll Cartwright today. I thought it was helpful. I hope it helps you all survive these next weeks, months and years. Maybe decades. Jesus, who knows? Stay strong!
Dear friends, family, comrades,
I am starting to work out a strategy for how to conduct myself over the next 4 (?) years so I won’t go mad and completely surrender every minute of my waking (and sleeping) emotional life to these… confused fellow citizens as I did 2016–2020.
It’s very early but I am throwing out my first thoughts in order to solicit ideas, to commune and to commit myself by stating my thoughts.
1) Pick one useful thing to actually do and do it. All my endless whining to everyone does nothing but get myself and whoever I’m talking to wound up.
2) Read the news once a day only, at a set time. Do not obsessively check it.
3) Turn off news notifications
4) Read only hard news. Don’t bother reading “news” about what THEY or some… confused white nationalist said or posted, etc…
5) Do not feel compelled to ask everyone if they saw the latest. They did or they will!
