Assassin Nation
On Sunday there was an apparent assassination attempt on former President of the United States, and current Republican presidential nominee, Donald J. Trump.
There are some who exploit tragic, or potentially tragic events to make an attention grabbing comment.
1st Person: An assassination attempt on Donald Trump. Tragic?
Me: And, you’ve illustrated my point.
Actually, this reminds me of how I find it funny peculiar how in some circles there is a consensus that Donald Trump is not well liked, yet when people wish him harm, presumably because they dislike him, some members of those same circles scream, “It’s a set up!”
Anyway, what might other attention seekers say to, well, seek attention? How about?
“It’s a Sunday, of course there’s an assassination attempt on Trump.”
How should one analyse this comment?
Luckily for me, a very wise person once said, “Use your voice, it’s a multiple choice, with no wrong answers.”
The Question: What does, “It’s a Sunday, of course there’s an assassination attempt on Trump,” mean?
The answers:
(A). National Insecurity
It is clearly a comment on the failings of the US Secret Service.
(B). Shooting From The Lip
It is clearly a comment on US gun control laws.
(C ). Blind State
It is clearly a comment on the Deep State, a clandestine network of members of the federal government, working in conjunction with high-level financial and industrial entities and leaders to exercise power alongside or within the elected United States government.
(D). Division Hell
It is clearly a comment on political polarisation in the US.
(E). Funny? Nah, Nah.
It is clearly an inappropriate joke.
Epilogue
1st Person: What’s your favourite comment?
Me: Halley’s.
