When I was growing up, make up was never a big deal to me. I was a tomboy, so the idea of plastering anything on my face made little sense… unless it was mud.

As I got older, the regimen of becoming a girl became a prerequisite as I entered junior high. Nylons, dresses, hairstyles, and of course make up was expected of me.
