Hey y’all I’m Spyder Darling, author of the above quote and avid runner, walker and occasional stumbler and staggerer (but that’s another story). Anyway in this screen obsessed, endless work day, sleep deprived world, it’s more important than ever to have a way to burn off the stress induced anxieties that will keep you up when you’re trying to get your beauty sleep.
And one of the best ways I have found to give yourself some piece of mind is to get on the street and pound. You don’t have to go for a marathon. A half hour to an hour is fine. And as the late, great, ill-fated Martin Luther King Jr. famously said:
So with that in mind, here are my tips on getting you into the running grind and enjoying peace of mind in no time.
- Run with someone. Misery loves company it is often said. And it’s just as true on the track as it is in Breakfast Club detention. So partner up running time and watch your motivation spark up.
