The BBC has said, ‘Guardian apologises over cartoon of BBC chairman Richard Sharp.’
1st Person: Why the apology?
Me: The cartoon was criticised for being Antisemitic.
1st Person: How?
Me: It depicted Mr Sharp, who is Jewish, with exaggerated features.
1st Person: So you can’t caricature a Jewish person?
Me: You can’t if it relies on Antisemitic tropes.
1st Person: What if the caricature is based on the features of the person?
