Chicago Tribune Wants “TRUMP” Brand Chizzled-Off Building
But there’s a better solution!
Apparently, New York is not the only city where it’s a ‘hard place to be a Trump’.
The Chicago Tribune, once a defender of Donald Trump’s rights, declared it wants the former president’s name “jackhammered” off his hotel and condo tower in downtown Chicago. Something about how the name conjures up criminality and renders the downtown view, “tacky”. In the “Windy City,” they know how to treat a crook for tax evasion! The building’s moniker might as well read, “CAPONE”.
Don’t be hasty, Chicagoans. There’s a much less expensive way to camouflage the name “Trump”. Oh sure, you could replace, move, or add letters to disassociate the sign from the lawless lunatic. BUMP, CRUMP, CHUMP, GRUMP, HUMP, JUMP, LUMP, PUMP, and RUMP are all good choices.
“RUMP,” is especially poignant as the Tower would announce that the owner’s a “butthead”. It’s also the cheapest as it only requires the removal of just one letter (“T”).
No, I think Chicago should keep the “TRUMP” sign as a message board, to be rearranged when updating news of the owner's current judicial trials.
