Does Jesus Really Want You To Be A Homemaker?

I’ve done a lot of investigative journalism, but it’s not my favorite. My favorite is writing sex stories. My second is satire. Investigative journalism is low on the list. In fact, most of my investigative journalism eventually finds its way to sex or satire. So there’s that.

But for this piece, obviously inspired by the KC Chiefs kicker who said that stuff about women’s true calling is to be homemakers, I felt the need to really call on all my chops as a researcher and a detective of journalism.

Exactly what he said was this:

“I can tell you that my beautiful wife Isabelle would be the first to say that her life truly started when she started living her vocation as a wife and as a mother.”

So I gather that this is what Jesus wants, given that he added in his speech that he is speaking “openly and honestly openly and honestly about who we are and where we all want to go, which is Heaven.”

Which sort of implies that women who put career first are going to hell.

Ouch. I thought I better look into this.

Where in the bible did it say that women who pursue a career are going to burn in hell?
