We play favorites with the heart while other organs gaze from a distance

In many cultures that I am familiar with, the exchange of hearts implies two people are in love.

This exchange could be due to the stealing of the heart of the first person by the second person without the second person having any memory of doing so. Then the first person, to even the score, wants to steal the heart of the second person. Once the stealing is complete on both sides, the exchange is complete and they are supposed to be in love.

This exchange could also be done by simply handing over the heart from the first person to the second person and vice-versa due to family, peer, or hormonal pressure.

No matter the form of transaction that ensures such an exchange, only the heart is involved in it. If the brain was involved, the two people could understand each other better and decide sensibly before tying the knot.

If the stomach was the organ of desire, then obesity issues across the world would be significantly reduced. It is nearly impossible to shed the extra weight on one’s own body but we have plenty of suggestions for others. So such an exchange will ensure that we can work on the other person’s belly, something that we seem to be very enthusiastic about. This will lead to significant improvement in overall fitness levels across the world. On the contrary, if one person is upset with their partner or spouse, they may feed their stomach a lot of junk food and bloat it which might make the other person look bad and feel bad. Repeatedly stabbing the heart or shattering it to a million pieces also doesn’t sound as cruel as making someone fat intentionally!

If your partner smokes too much, exchange your lungs, if they drink too much, exchange your liver. At least sharing organs this way when one partner doesn’t overexploit their organ can ensure the longevity of the organ and hence the person. Such kind of sharing shows the love and care of the partner and can deepen the relationship and boost its longevity too. Such sharing also ensures that no transplant is needed, unless both partners smoke too much or drink too much.

The gut is said to be our second brain, yet nobody talks about stealing or exchanging gut in a love scenario. I guess the bladder and intestines need not be exchanged because both the partners or spouses generally consume the same solid and liquid food.

The pancreas and spleen are too small (though not insignificant) to be included in this form of exchange. Skin being the largest organ is also not considered, probably because no woman would be interested in hairy skin with a balding head, although men wouldn’t mind smooth skin.

In conclusion, exchange all organs, and analyze everything well before saying yes to the marriage. Maybe science and technology aren’t ready for the wholesome exchange yet. This movie shows the way by exchanging something that has become as integral to us as any of our organs — our smartphone. We can begin here.
