Every time we fail to complete an assignment, or put it off until the last minute, our confidence takes a hit. After all, who wants to let their teacher down? This gives him even more control over us, as he keeps us in a state of perpetual guilt and self-doubt — until he’s taken enough from our souls that we can no longer resist his wicked will!
