How To Be A Happy Camper
Life Lessons by Spyder Darling
Hi kids, of all ages, shapes, hairstyles and pronouns. I’m Spyder Darling and you might know me from my four part Tao Of Spyder series in which I impart the life lessons I have life lessons I have learned from the cruelest teacher of all. Experience.
Now that spring has finally kinda sorta sprung, that means summer is just around the corner and down the hall. And I’m here to give y’all a few pointers on how to make the most of your summer camp or back to office experience, with ten rules that will apply from the time you kiss your mom goodbye until it’s time to retire and move to Palm Beach, where pastels and sunsets blend and the “Gilded Age” never ends. Until it does.
- Lead the way. If you don’t like the way certain people talk or act with or around others, use that as a chance to show another way and lead by a better example.
- Be patient. There are gonna be lines. And not the ’80s Scarface/Wall Street kind. Anything worth doing is going to take some time. Get used to it and while you’re waiting introduce yourself to whoever’s behind you and get conversating.
