I Wrote about India, and the 355 Comments Weren’t Funny

In case you missed it, I went to India, which wasn’t funny. I wrote about it, and many people didn’t find it humorous. The drama in the comments section sparked the most significant Medium controversy of 2023. Some people were mad, and others were outraged. Many got blocked. I’m sure they didn’t find that funny, either.

There were so many comments on my India piece that it would be quicker to go to India and see it for yourself rather than read them all. If you insist on reading the comments, don’t. I’ll summarize: repetitive, mind-numbing, uninspiring, and unoriginal insults written by oversensitive people with no sense of humor. One specifically unhinged woman threatened to contact the Prime Minister and ban me from returning to the country. That was rude. Plus, it was ridiculous because everyone knows I get along famously with prime ministers, even the bad ones.

There seemed to be a misconception that I didn’t like India, which wasn’t true. I was fascinated by it. The truth is I don’t like anything. I’ve built a following for it. It’s called depression, and it’s not funny.

I don’t understand what the problem was. I didn’t write anything that wasn’t true. I didn’t report anything I didn’t see. I have tons of pictures to back up everything I witnessed. I have witnesses to back up the pictures of…
