Few words stir the spirit of romance and adventure like ‘pirate,’ and if you’ve got even a twitch of buccaneer in your soul, Captain Bloodshot’s Hangover Hideout is sure to be an ‘X’ on your treasure map.

For over a century this Caribbean cantina has been the spot for renegades, ex patriots, and plain old restless dreamers who want to strap on their swashbuckle and party like it’s 1699. It’s the place where nobody knows your real name and everyone throws back ‘Captain Bloodshot’s Surefire Hangover Cure’ in honor of its infamous namesake as the sun rises over the waves.

Captain Willem Abel Smoot was a Dutch merchant mariner turned smuggler, and later notorious pirate who pillaged the trade routes along the east coast of the Americas in the early 18th century.

He was a feared and ruthless sadist dubbed ‘Billy Bloodshot’ by enemies and allies alike, not for his irritated eyes caused by excessive alcohol consumption, but for his purported grisly ritual of drinking a shot of his victims’ blood.
