Why we’ll always be playing Bullshit Bingo
There comes a point in the meeting
When we should put down our bingo cards
And stop listening to the buzz words and the buzz phrases
And the buzz, and the buzz, and the buzz
Of your nasal vocal fry.
When we should stop listening out for
Something in what you are saying
That goes beyond the bingo
(You know the type — you know the word they use
You know it’s bull****)
That dares to edge somewhere close to actual content,
Or, dare we say it, even thought,
And we should tell you outright
That you are just making a noise now.
You. Are. Just. Making. A. Noise.
But, then, the reason we don’t tell you,
And the reason we carry on marking our cards,
This meeting as with every meeting,
Is because the buzz and the fry and the bull
Does nothing to hide the thing we all know.
Because we’ve seen your own bingo card
Not quite hidden there in your folder,
And we’re guessing every one of the squares
Says “Make a Noise”
Because that’s about the only thing
You bloody well know.
