Man Oh Mannequin

Poetry plastique by Spyder Darling

Sliding down the sidewalk

While darkness filled the sky

I stopped before a window

As the world passed me by

Some thought I was crazy

But I felt it in my skin

That girl behind the window

Man oh mannequin

With eyes as hard as plastic

I knew of something there

Beneath that textbook torso

And preset lifelike hair

Life can be so easy

With nothing ‘neath the skin

All you need is lust

And a man oh mannequin

It’s not all that different

Imagination turns the wheel

In a bed of jell or water

‘Careful with the spike heels

Thanks a brunch for reading. So whatcha think? Please let me know with a rapid response below.

And if you enjoyed the ride, please see what else is blooming on the vines of my Poetry list!
