My First-World Problems Are Way More Important Than What The Planet Is Currently Dealing With
World Hunger
Too many people on our planet don’t have enough to eat daily. Food Banks are full of people struggling to put a decent meal on their plates. In this day and age, it’s sad that we as a society haven’t solved world hunger. But.
Because of the ongoing Pandemic and COVID restrictions, I use several food box delivery services for my eating needs. These services package their meals in a box complete with ingredients and easy to follow menus on how to prepare and cook their dinners. But.
It’s hard to pick every week what I want to eat. I have to choose a full 7 days before my box arrives what I plan to have for dinner that week. How do I know if I’m in a Cornflake-Crusted Chicken with Sweet Potato Mash and Garlic-Maple Dip mood? Or if the Mexican-Spiced Barramundi and Corn Rice with Garlicky Zucchini and Lime-Butter Sauce is more what I’m into on a Tuesday night? Sure, the Grilled Halloumi Bun with Basil Aioli and Potato Wedges sounds brilliant, but is that Keto-friendly? It’s super stressful. Ugh. And what time will the box arrive? What if I’m having dinner guests over, and they show up before the box? How embarrassing is that?
