Normally only comfortable with taking last-second shots on the court, superstar LeBron James took the greatest last-second shot of his career when he recently received the Covid-19 vaccine. Many are wondering just why he waited so long? It turns out that LeBron is addicted to taking shots when the game is on the line and he would take this shot no differently. In a press conference, James said that he wanted to take his time and do research to discover just when the clock on vaccine respectability would run out.

“It was very important to me to find out the date at which I would no longer be praised for getting vaccinated.”

After talking to his doctors and public relations experts on the matter (seen below), it was determined that 700,000 deaths would be the limit of respectability. That is why he chose to take the shot only a few days before the U.S. reached that sobering death count.

“And guess what? It was good!”, said James while making a shooting motion. Time will tell whether or not James’s announcement will encourage other unvaccinated people to change their mind.

When asked about his influence as a role model and the vaccine, James replied, “What do I care? We’ve already passed 700,000 deaths so it’s too late for other people to receive praise for getting vaccinated. I mean, at this point they’d probably still get scolded for being unvaccinated for soooooo long. Honestly, it’s probably best if they don’t bring attention to it. Go Lakers!”
