Phrases We Need to Stop Using — Like Now

I watch a lot of YouTube videos. I’m really not obsessed. There are just some YouTube channels that I like. And when I watch a video on that channel, YouTube is kind enough to recommend another channel. It would be rude not to watch it after they went to all that trouble…right?

Maybe, maybe not. After eighteen months of being home watching YouTube videos, I've realized that there are some slang words and phrases that are way overused. And it annoys me.

Granted, YouTubers tend to be on the young side and are therefore more tuned in to the latest trends. With that said, there are some phrases I think we should put to rest.

If you know, you know.

YouTubers, well some YouTubers, say this phrase often. It’s usually said in response to a situation or a question like, “What do you think of the new Pumpkin cream cold brew? Is it tasty?

The response might be, “Yeah, If you know, you know.” But, I don’t know. That’s why I asked the question. Can we just answer the question that has been asked? If you know, you know.

See, that’s annoying.

When used in that context, it means the person knows because they have some knowledge or personal experience of the…
