Physicists: Universe Likely A Very Subtle Satire

That people who are not physicists are incapable of fully grasping.

“Oh, it’s way deeper than light is both a particle AND a wave,” muses Physicist Dave Enderson, sitting at tea in his Cambridge cottage, as his wife, the very brilliant cosmologist, Susan Enderson, poured tea for us. “The irony is much crueler. The universe has an extremely edgy sense of humor. If it was writing on Medium it would have gotten banned a long time ago.”

Scientists at the CERN laboratory, which is a 16-mile long Habitrail in France or Switzerland or somewhere, have taken offense a number of times.

“Look,” said Maurice Sauce-Flambe, during my visit to CERN. “If you can’t take a joke, you need to get out of sub-atomic physics, that’s all I can say. We finally cornered the God boson a few years ago. Turns out it had both thumbs stuck in its ears and was blowing us a raspberry with its tongue. Then it disappeared into statistical insignificance and all we heard was bwa ha ha ha ha on the spectral radiometer.”
