Republicans across the country warded off a major crisis this week after discovering they had no more books left to remove from school curricula and libraries. “They was all empty ’xcepting for one book,” Texas Congressman Chip Roy recently complained to reporters from the Capitol steps. “And that one book’s the Bible. Can’t do nothing ‘bout that.”
