Scientists: After You Die There Will Be Nothing

And this nothingness will last FOREVER!

Are you afraid of death? Don’t be. You have nothing to fear, for one reason and one reason alone — death is by definition something that cannot be experienced. So it’s not going to happen to you!

Your ego is kind of correct when it reassures you, as you pass a graveyard, “Don’t worry, death is something that happens to other people. Not you. Somehow, someway, you’re going to live forever, buddy.”

True, death does “happen.” And it is kind of devastatingly final. But you won’t experience it. So there’s that.

It will be the end of the line for your so-called ego. It will be the end of the line for this consumer product, this robot with your name branded on it. The mechanical, material, and physical thing that you think you are will decay. It will reside in oblivion.

For the rest of time.

On and on and on and on and on in oblivion, nowhere, doing nothing, experiencing nothing.

But as I said, there’s nothing to fear. Here’s why.
