Scientists: Every Moment Is Another Opportunity For Joyous Exaltation
There is no mundane but in the mind.
The idea that everyday life is on a lower plane than the sacred is fake news.
We’ve bought into this hierarchy of experience because our history is so deeply classist. As a people, we are historically conditioned to think of higher-ups and lower-downs. There is the elite. There’s the middle. And then there’s the bottom.
That’s a bunch of hooey, of course. In the eyes of the universe, the elite is not more special than the bottom dweller.
But because of this division of people into classes that POWER has enacted on human history, we are prone to enact the same division on our human experience.
There are supposedly higher experiences, and there are lower.
A higher experience might indeed be climbing Mount Everest. This is an example of a secular-seeming activity — mountain climbing — achieving the status of a sublime or sacred experience.
Spiritual Egotism
In the 1960s, this idea emerged of so-called “higher consciousness.”
Does that remind you of royalty and aristocracy and higher caste folks?
