Perhaps you’ve reached a stage or age where traditional sexual intercourse is no longer part of your life with your partner. I’m not talking about a loss of interest. Discussing that issue is above my pay grade. I’m talking about physical limitations and/or disabilities. While we all may mourn the loss of this activity, there are some upsides to this loss.

1) Caressing and kissing can be enjoyed when there’s no rush to get to the main event.

2) You can hug and kiss anywhere: outside, inside, and in front of others. But be careful in front of your teenage or adult children. They tend to roll their eyes and groan at this behavior. When I’ve had these responses, I tell them they wouldn’t be here if we didn’t do this.

3) You do not need to get naked. This is especially important if you engage in these behaviors outside.

4) You can keep your teeth in.

5) No awkward, strenuous positions are required.

6) You don’t have to wait until dark.

7) You can keep your nightgown or pajamas on the whole time in bed.

8) It’s actually sexy when partners rub Ben Gay or hemp cream on their partner’s stiff joints.

9) You might save on batteries

So, If you can still do the“deed,” congrats! You can save this list until it’s no longer happening.
