HUMOR
Thanks to COVID I’m Now Allergic to People!
Is it just me or have humans become intolerable?
I have never been a fan of huge crowds. Just how people are able to delight in diving into masses of perspiring humans will always remain a mystery to me. Like, you know, going to a soccer game which is nothing but a disgusting olfactory assault to one’s nose, not to mention that interesting linguistic time travel back to the Stone Age. Or what about going to a pop concert just to be one of fifty thousand hysterically screaming people worshipping another human being in a mega stadium? To me, that’s sheer madness. Can anyone relate?
Ok, so this was pre-COVID.
But as it appears, COVID has since turned me into an anti-social monster and I don’t think that this side effect is getting the awareness it should.
Social distancing has become my new normal and I’m allergic to people now. I have stopped counting just how many times a day I say “I HATE people” either out loud or just silently to myself. In any situation, on any given day. Inside, outside. Morning, evening. The variables are endless as long as the common thread is the presence of other homo sapiens.
