Every NBA season brings with it different storylines. This NBA season presents us with the oldest team in NBA history, the LA Lakers. While they have some of the greatest players in NBA history, those guys are a little past their prime. In some cases, more than a little. This edition of the team won’t be the Showtime Lakers. Maybe the Late Showtime Lakers. So, what can we look for with this Lakers team?
How will having older players on the Lakers impact their on-court performance?
Even though the Lakers will be trying to beat younger opponents, look for the Lakers to mentor their foes. You may hear them yelling things like, “Hey, pull those shorts up!”
The Lakers may also be able to flop more effectively. In the past, LeBron James has had some epic flops, but he may get more of those calls now that he’s older. Imagine a ref accusing LeBron of flopping when he’s actually having a heart attack. That would be on Sports Center for decades.
