The Most Powerful Witches in Harry Potter
Alrighty! Another Harry Potter article. I think it’s pretty clear that I am obsessed with these.
In this article, I am going to list down the 5 most powerful witches in Harry Potter!
#5 Molly Weasley
Molly Weasley, the mother of 7 children, is probably one of the most powerful witches I am going to discuss in this article. Why?
Well, Molly Weasley was portrayed as a simple housewife. Maybe not simple because she used charms to run the entire household, but you get the point. Who in their right mind would expect her to take down Voldemort’s most loyal Death Eater, Bellatrix in one shot ?!
#4 Lily Potter
So why would I include Lily Potter? So in the books ( I can’t remember about the movies), it is narrated that Lily and James Potter were the couple who had defied Voldemort three times! And we all know what a powerful wizard Voldemort was!
Besides this, she was part of the Slug Club, which was a club for very smart (but mostly very popular students)! She was also a member of the Order of the Phoenix, which means that Dumbledore himself agreed that Lily Potter was a good warrior!
#3 Ginny Weasley
Ginny Weasley, daughter of Molly and Arthur Weasley. In the movies (especially the fifth movie), we see Ginny excelling in almost all the spells the Dumbledore’s Army studies! Reducto, Expecto Patronum etc. Even in the books, it is narrated how the Weasley twins were afraid of her Bat Bogey Hex.
And she was a really good friend of Hermione’s, which shows what type of people she liked making friends with (smart and intellectual).
#2 Bellatrix Lestrange
Probably the fiercest and most dangerous out of them all, Bellatrix was Voldemort’s best warrior. She was brutal, powerful and fierce. And scary too…
She performs curses (mostly Unforgivable ones) throughout the series and each one she does successfully.
Well maybe until Molly takes her down in a fit of rage because she threatens Ginny, it seems as if Bellatrix is absolutely untouchable.
#1 Hermione Granger
In the very first book, Harry tells Hermione that she’s a great witch to which she replies “Me! Books! And cleverness! There are more important things — friendship and bravery.” The special thing about Hermione, which makes her at the top of our list, is that she possesses all of these qualities, somehow managing to balance her head and heart perfectly.
She does really well in her school years, and even in her career when she becomes Minister for Magic! She is a hardworking student who often uses her quick wit, ability to remember literally anything, and encyclopaedic knowledge to lend aid in dire situations! She helped Harry defeat Voldemort. And don’t you agree? If it wasn’t for Hermione, the Golden Trio wouldn’t have succeeded in any of the missions at all!
I hoped you liked reading this article! Tell me in the comments below about your views! And also if I should keep writing more of these types of articles!
