The Shape Of Love
There is more to love’s geometry than a heart on Valentine’s.
Have you heard about the love rectangle among New York City police officers that was so heated the officers’ guns were all confiscated by their superior officer?
A love rectangle is quite unusual. It got me to thinking about the geometry of love. We all know about love triangles, of course. They’re dramatic and exciting and sometimes quite painful.
But what of the other love polygons?
- When you’re at home pleasuring yourself, you are a monagon. This is a very lonely shape:
And now, picture cleaning that shape off with a Kleenex.
2. When you are having sex with your girlfriend, this is called a digon. You see, it’s much sexier.
I’m not sure if that’s a heart or a vagina. Either one is good.
3. Here is the triangle we spoke of. One side is you. The other two sides are the two people fighting over you. There is nothing better than being fought over.
