Everyone knows Andrew Wyeth’s iconic painting Christina’s World: girl in the grass, house in the distance. What’s the big deal? My four-year-old could have done it.

And everyone knows the ‘story’ behind the painting, how the ‘artist’ used his wife as a stand-in for a disabled neighbor who preferred to crawl instead of using her wheelchair.

What everyone doesn’t seem to know is this is total bullshit.

I mean, seriously. Give me a break. I don’t know what kind of scam this Wyeth charlatan was trying to pull, but look at the painting for crying out loud. There are thousands of more credible explanations for the thoughts, motives and actions of the chick in the weeds.

Here are just a few off the top of my head. And don’t tell me you don’t see them too.

Last thing I remember was riding the lawn mower before I blacked out.

Role-playing ‘lion and tamer’ with the artist next door who’s waiting in his bedroom with a whip and a chair.

Grounding.

I don’t need no fucking ‘hydration flask’ and yoga pants to do lady pushups, sister.
