The Weirdest Thing in My House

Do you have a strange item or oddity, some weird thing that you’ve saved. Is it hidden in a cupboard, tucked away in a cedar chest, or on display for all to admire? (or to question you about)

I do and have been told it’s just about the strangest thing a person could have. I’m in total agreement with that thought.

How long have you had your item? Was it something you picked up as a child, teenager, young adult or in your later years? Or was it passed down through generations, a family heirloom perhaps?

My mom purchased my weird item for my sister in the mid-‘60’s. I’m not sure if my sister saw it and wanted it or if my mom thought it was something a seven-year-old girl would like. Honestly, I can hardly imagine it was the latter or the former, for that matter. How I ended up with it, I don’t know.

Are you embarrassed by your odd item? Proud, maybe? Do you have it displayed prominently? Is it a conversation piece that visitors ‘ooh and ahh’ over? Or do you keep it hidden away, like a deep, dark secret you don’t want anybody to know about.
