The WHO Release New Album, “Monkeypox”

The long-anticipated sophomore effort from the World Health Organization is out now, and it’s bigger, gayer, and sexier than anything they’ve ever released.

In early 2020, I was at a restaurant when I got the news.

The WHO declared COVID-19 a global emergency, and I, like everyone else in the restaurant, was shocked.

Who are these upstarts? Do they really have the audacity to call their first-ever release a “global emergency?” I haven’t seen this much hubris since Justin Timberlake released his solo album, “Justified.”

Surely COVID-19 wouldn’t be a global sensation. It might make some waves in China, but would it play in the U.S.?

Well, as you know, COVID was unstoppable and changed the world forever. Not since Bieber dropped “Baby” have I seen such a rise from relative obscurity to global megastardom.

So, four years later, when the WHO released their latest album, “Monkeypox,” and again had the gall to call it a global emergency, I was a little skeptical.

There’s no way they can follow COVID and expect the same fanfare, but after sampling a taste of “Monkeypox,” I’m here to tell you it makes COVID look like Kelly…
