When I listen to the radio now, I want music, sports, weather or news. If by chance, I want to listen to comedy, I’ll listen to a comedy station. On some satellite music stations, a few of the DJs will talk between songs. I don’t care for that. Generally speaking, I want them to shut up and play the music. That’s a departure from the days when people would talk about DJs.
I also used to pay more attention to radio station call letters. I actually did a little writing for radio stations so I their call letters could come into play.
