The original version of “The Magnificent Seven” had one of the greatest collections of action stars of all time. Included in that cast was Charles Bronson. I admit to a fondness for the older action stars. Back then the action wasn’t so reliant on computer generation. It made for a different type of action star.

In addition, while the older action stars looked to be in good shape, they weren’t freakishly big as a result of steroids. It made the action and the stars seem somewhat more believable. So, with that in mind, here are some things you didn’t know about Charles Bronson.

1: At one time he shared a room with Jack Klugman.

I’m thinking that if Bronson told Klugman, aka Oscar Madison to pick up after himself he would have hopped to it.

2: Bronson flew 29 missions as a bomber tail gunner in World War II.

He received the Purple Heart for wounds he occurred.

3: He didn’t have a lot of regard for critics.

He was quoted as saying, “We don’t make movies for critics, since they don’t pay to see them anyhow.” That’s a sign of a good businessman. Know where your…
