Perhaps the most storied female ruler in history is Cleopatra. She was and is renowned for her beauty. She has been portrayed in movies by Elizabeth Taylor and, as in the above picture, Claudia Colbert. Both beautiful women. The reality, as is so often the case in history, is a bit different.
