Warp Speed on Fast Track
Because “warp speed” means “big, really really big.”
The reveal for Drumpf’s Operation Warp Speed outdid Bush’s Mission Accomplished with multiple press conferences, talk show tours and hundreds of Tweets about Obamagate. What’s still missing is any sense of operational detail. Other than a few interest stories about promising leads and their labs on cable news, the big picture has been vague.
In fact, all Americans know with certainty is that the phrase “warp speed” means “big. Really, really big,” and we only know this because Drumpf clarified it for reporters. For the talking heads at FOX News and OAN, this may have been the most important reveal of all. In a conversation on Fox & Friends, Ainsley Earhardt reported, “See I always thought warp meant really, really fast.” Steve Doocy replied, “I always thought it was something from Star Wars.”
Since Earhardt was correct, the exchange marked the first time FOX News has gotten half their reported facts correct in a single exchange.[1]
