It’s 900 pages long. Surely there’s something in it for me.

  • All children’s car seats must be easier to install. No. They must be easy to install. Past the age of four, kids should be able to install them themselves. It will be what is called a teachable moment, and children will be better for it. That’s what this country needs! More teachable moments! And easy-to-install car seats.
  • All motels must have larger trash cans. Certainly, large enough so guests can find them. Do the motel managers hope their guests will take their trash home with them? There’s some kind of weird redistribution of labor going on here.
  • American-made cars must be built with the gas caps on the same side so there’s no confusion at gas pumps. Let’s place the cap on the driver’s side too, so there’s no walking around the car to get to the tank. Make American cars great again!
  • Foreign cars must conform to the above ruling. Do not even think about selling your noncomplying cars here. Buy American!
  • Streaming services cannot just shut off and leave a message on the TV screen saying you have to sign in again. None of them. There’s just no reason for that. Get these companies under control!
  • Parents who keep their children home from school because they’re sick and then bring them shopping will be…
