Women Never Use This Word
It’s just not the way we perceive the world
Men are different than women, duh. I know I’m not exactly breaking news to the civilized world. But I do find it interesting to observe the particular differences, some of which are never spoken about.
For instance, I’ve had my male friends tell me that so-and-so woman is “fuckable.”
“She’s so fuckable,” they say. And they mean it. They really mean it. I can see it in their eyes. They are fucking her with their eyes.
I remember reading a biography of the cheesy film producers Don Simpson and Jerry Bruckheimer. They spoke about casting Jennifer Beals in Flash Dance because they wanted someone who was “fuckable.”
That’s what audiences want to see, I guess. Someone who, literally, is “able to be fucked.”
Um…newsflash, users of the English language. Every woman is “able to be fucked.” Your word makes no sense.
But I have to admit, there is something very alluring about Jennifer Beals in Flashdance. In that 80s kind of alluring way, with the 80s hair and the Jane Fonda workout ankle warmers and all that. Plus, when she’s welding. I mean, a woman who can weld is extremely fuckable.
