Sure you miss me

An email to a mailing list I struggle to maintain and how I gave it a shot again

This email is big and will annoy you but please read it.

TL;DR: I am igniting this again, changing the form a bit and if you would like to unsubscribe it is totally understandable and ok. Then I tell you what is all the fuss about.

Wow! I don’t believe it was only 6 months ago that I said that I will keep up with you and I never did that. Sorry about that but I was kinda busy and it had to do with the fact that I forgot you existed!

Anyhow, if this email thing is going to stick around, it should not be about blogpost notifications because these are very scattered over time, and I will again ignore you.

Let’s talk about you for a minute. Most of you are friends who are wondering why this dumbass is writing us emails in English (while he and we are Greek) and insisted that we signed up for this when he already spam us on every platform possible. That’s fair.

These emails right now go to 18 people. In that group 3 people are from other countries. So we keep this in English. If someone is not ok with this he can unsubscribe and never hear back.

What this is?

I don’t really know. My thought is that I will link stuff that I find interesting online, I will shamelessly self promote my self with things I do and probably at some point I will forget about you again.

I’ve set a reminder every week to prepare this. If I don’t really find interesting stuff I will not send you an email. I don’t want to be that guy who prevents you from having that inbox zero nirvana.

If this sounds boring, read through and then unsubscribe. I will not rate you bad on Peeple.

Ok, I stay. I really don’t believe that you will keep your word and you will rate me bad. So what is this about again?

As you may remember I write stuff from time to time. This emails began as notifications from my blog. At one point they were automated. My blog changed too much for it’s own good really.

What I write is not the best around but I put effort for it to be accurate on the facts that I base my opinion on. So what I write is my opinion and mine only.

As I said, other things that are going to be here are links and interesting things such as events and other stuff. These links will either be of general interest, popular technology and sometimes technical. Technical will have an indicator because some of you hate them.
