…. A beacon has come to you from GOD, and a profound scripture. With it, GOD guides those who seek His approval. He guides them to the paths of peace, leads them out of darkness into the light by His leave, and guides them in a straight path. Quran 5:15–6

A lighthouse is a beacon. We see one and we think of its life-saving flare that signals both danger and sanctuary. A ship at sea on a stormy night can find comfort in the guiding light. Sometimes our lives are stormy. We can find that same life-saving light in the guidance God offers to each of us.

You, Lord, are my lamp; the Lord turns my darkness into light. 2 Samuel 22:29

God’s light is ever with us. He leads us out of the darkness and into His light. His guidance is like a glowing beacon, lighting our way forward. It’s always out there, brightly shining; offered as a sanctuary, a place to come in out of the cold, to find warmth, comfort and support. Life can be bright and clear and beautiful when we accept this guidance.

Those who believe in GOD, and hold fast to Him, He will admit them into mercy from Him, and grace, and will guide them to Him in a straight path. Quran 4:175

As for those who believe and lead a righteous life, their Lord guides them, by virtue of their belief. Rivers will flow beneath them in the gardens of bliss. Quran 10:9

You, Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light. Psalm 18:28

When we turn to God for guidance, rather than relying on fallible human guides, we are showing wisdom and knowledge of what our true beacon is.

I saw that wisdom is better than folly, just as light is better than darkness. Ecclesiastes 2:13

…. When guidance comes to you from Me, those who follow My guidance will have no fear, nor will they grieve. Quran 2:38

God is our only Provider, our only Protector. He is Truth. When we seek truth, we find God.

He that takes truth for his guide, and duty for his end, may safely trust to God’s providence to lead him aright. Blaise Pascal

Proclaim: “O people, the truth has come to you herein from your Lord. Whoever is guided is guided for his own good. Quran 10:108

Think of the lighthouse — tall, enduring, something to be counted on. On a foggy night, it provides the sound and the light to guide a passing ship safely on its way. Then think of God. He is always there, always providing the guidance and light. If your life seems foggy and stormy, turn to your Creator. He is your Salvation.

When My servants ask you about Me, I am always near. I answer their prayers when they pray to Me. The people shall respond to Me and believe in Me, in order to be guided. Quran 2:186

Whomever GOD guides is the truly guided one. Quran 17:97
