Sometimes we feel abandoned

and all alone.

This has been an especially difficult year. We were forced into isolation, unable to spend time with loved ones. Feeling alone was a common occurrence. We could take comfort in the many means of communication at our disposal — phones, computer chats, video conferencing — but it’s not the same as being together with someone, getting a hug or a warm handshake, truly seeing with our own eyes how that person is doing.

But it’s important to remember that God is always with us. Therefore, we are never alone.

Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand. Psalm 73:23

When My servants ask you about Me, I am always near. I answer their prayers when they pray to Me. The people shall respond to Me and believe in Me, in order to be guided. Quran 2:186

Your Lord never abandoned you, nor did He forget. Quran 93:3

Sometimes it’s fun to be alone, to work or play by yourself….

Sometimes you want to play with others….

We can laugh and cry and even sometimes feel sorry for ourselves, but it’s important to know that we can always turn to God and find love, support, mercy and healing.

O people, enlightenment has come to you herein from your Lord, and healing for anything that troubles your hearts, and guidance, and mercy for the believers. Quran 10:57

And then we can find the strength to be a comfort and support for someone else. This cycle of giving and receiving helps us to be ever more appreciative of all we have.

It is never too late to strengthen the foundation of faith. There is always time…. you can repent and plead for forgiveness. There is someone you can forgive. There is someone you can thank. There is someone you can serve and lift. You can do it wherever you are and however alone and deserted you may feel. Henry B. Eyring

For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone. Audrey Hepburn

By God’s grace, it seems that perhaps we’re coming out of this dark phase, that we can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

We need to come out stronger, kinder, more caring and giving. We need to thank God and pledge to Him and to ourselves that we will go forward in a more righteous, loving manner. That this is the beginning of a new world, more devoted to God than ever before, more aware of the goodness and the beauty all around us. And always with the knowledge that we are never alone.

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5–6
