Ya Allah,
Your path is the only way to go. All other directions lead one to a dead end.
Along the way, they take one to places that are temporarily satisfying but destructive in the end.
Your word is the truth. Anything that goes against it is falsehood and deception.
Your Jannah (Paradise) is our home. Every other type of residence here, is a sham.
The mind chatters a lot. Only Your remembrance can hush the noise that makes it chaotic.
The heart, when it belongs to You alone, is at peace. When something else takes over, it gets polluted.
The soul is in starvation without being nourished by Your closeness.
We fret over trivialities and get caught up in this perpetual maze. Only Your guidance can set a lost soul free.
You are the only One who oversees all our affairs and that of the entire universe's.
How can the creation know any better than the One that created it.
When You know what’s hidden in every heart and in every vein.
Why doesn't the creation internalise this underlying fact of life?
Why doesn't it choose what's best for it?
What causes this misstep? This misdeed, rather, of believing it's in control of its own destiny.
When all might and power belong only to You, Ya Rabbal A’lamin (O Lord of the worlds).
Help us all to choose what’s best for our Akhira (The next life).
Make us prioritise the next life over this fleeting dunya (This life).
Guide us all.
