Laylat al-Qadr or the Night of Destiny
Salaam Alaikum dear followers of the Heart of Quran and other readers,
On the west coast of the United States, many Muslims will celebrate this wonderful night beginning at sunset tonight. It commemorates the amazing time when God took the prophet Muhammad’s soul up to the highest point it could withstand and put the Quran into his heart. That revelation was then slowly released by the angel Gabriel over many years.
What a blessing this Holy Quran is for the world — and for all of us striving to follow it!
Wherever you are and whenever this special night falls for you this Ramadan, may it be a blessed night for all of those who celebrate it.
May God bless not only your Night of Destiny but also the remainder of your Ramadan and the rest of your life.
