Spare happiness

I fear being too happy

I treat happiness as a guest

Without much intimacy

I know it brings always its bag ready to leave

However I dress in my best clothes

I put fresh flowers on the table

I write poems and that’s it!

But if happiness wants to go away

I let it go, I let it flap its wings

As I fondly let a little bird fly

I share happiness in little pieces

And when it leaves

I always have with me some spare dose

That miraculously

It lasts forever.
