Obedient am I, Observer,
to the directives that You’ve placed
upon the page and hearts of many
people we’ve embraced

You send me down the Nile
to bring me back to You again
with a remodeled life, like Abraham
I consider You my friend

I look to guides like Jesus
and Zechariah’s holy wish
If I ignore Muhammad’s message
I’ll be eaten by a fish

You show me dreams of growing pains
and rains with Your provisions
Like a blueprint for a mighty boat
I welcome Your revisions
