Attitude > Everything Else

Starting with the most important of all: Attitude.

I will hire the more enthusiastic, trustworthy, respectful, and downright eager person every single time.

Attitude beats skill. Any skill can be acquired with the right attitude.

The right attitude can’t be taught.

Here are some must-haves:

  • Enthusiasm
  • A positive, optimistic outlook on most things
  • Solution-orientated mindset

Previous Work Experience

Not the actual experience, just how they talk about it.

If they are willing to drag their previous company through the mud, they’ll likely do the same to mine.

If someone isn’t able to leave a previous company amicably, and talk about it rationally in hindsight — major red flag.
