It’s (Often) Just Your Perspective

Famed Reggae musician Bob Marley is quoted saying:

“Some people feel the rain. Others just get wet.”

It is a powerful reminder that the way we perceive the world is through the perspectives we hold. Where some of us see insurmountable obstacles, others merely see motivating challenges. Problems can be opportunities. Setbacks and failure can be learnings which bring us closer to finding the solution.

Entrepreneurs have to deal with a constant barrage of problems, setbacks, failures and rejections. The key to our resilience is the perspective we chose to hold — do we see problems or opportunities?

I know it is sometimes hard to not get beaten up by this. But realize that it comes down to you and how you chose to see the world. Every experience just is — it is up to you to react to it. You can get wet — or feel the rain. It is your choice.
