Hola and welcome to the Herstory Project.

This is a project that gives voice, literally, to the women in our communities who are making history or rather Herstory. In recent times more women are being empowered to grasp the pen of life and take back control of a narrative that often overlooks us.

The Herstory Project highlights the prolific impact women make every single day. I want to introduce you to a group of women who are genuinely making important contributions to our community. These are the women who our children will read about in textbooks one day.

Since the Herstory project is launching during Black History Month, the first cohort of the Herstory Project focuses on dynamic Black women in the San Antonio community who are making an impact.

Start here and then scroll to see each woman’s portrait and click play to discover what brings them joy.
