You may not get the gadgets, the suits, the aston martins or the license to wreck expensive cars, but who said you can’t drink the exact same drink 007 favours every time?

In the movie, “Casino Royale”, James Bond looks up from his cards and tells the bar man “Three measures of Gordon; one of vodka; half a measure of Kina Lillet. Shake it very well until it is ice cold, and add a thin slice of lemon peel.”

We decided to break it down for you, so you can get a taste of the Bond lifestyle.

To make the Bond martini (which he calls “The Vesper”), you will need…

  • 3 measures of Gordon’s Gin
  • 1 measure of Vodka
  • ½ measure of Kina Lillet ((Lillet is an apertif wine from Podensac, a village in Bordeaux)
  • Lemon peel for garnish

Shake all the ingredients with ice in a shaker, then pour into a chilled martini glass. Add a lemon twist.

Cheers!
