Hey everyone! In our previous newsletter, we announced a new platform for all writers looking to earn some money that will be unveiled in the coming weeks. Well…those “coming weeks” are finally here! Culture Pub is our vision for the future, and you can find out more here. For the intents and purposes of this platform, we are looking for articles about Multicultural societies. Our series on Multiculturalism is a big part of Culture Pub’s new role, and we need more writers to contribute some thought-provoking and interesting insights into this topic. The guidelines are simple.
- Show interest in the topic: Don’t just submit any random article you have in the hopes of earning some easy money, take your time to research and get interested in the topic!
- Show interest in the series: Remember, your article is meant to build up our series, Multicultural Societies. As such, we are only accepting articles that exhibit the respectability, integrity, and vision of the project at large.
- No word limit!
Once again, please remember that your article needs to maintain a high standard of respect and awareness of the subject at hand. If you follow these simple guidelines, your article will be accepted.
What to write?
We recognize that the term, multiculturalism is quite vague. As a result, try and get specific in a time period or event. Provide fascinating insights on an aspect of multicultural societies. Comment on their strengths but also bring to light their fragilities. Importantly, don’t be afraid to take inspiration from other articles in the series.
For example, the two articles above build off on points established by the other, which creates a thread that connects this vast field of ideas and unique perspectives into a cohesive series.
Commission
$4.50 USD per article.
Not a lot, I know. But please keep in mind you can submit as many articles as you want with the same guaranteed paid amount regardless of the ruthless ebbs and flows of the Medium algorithm. Our publication is still small and our budget tight, but if this platform is successful, and becomes a long-term project, our publication will grow and so will our commissions.
*For every submission, remember to indicate it as a part of the series by adding a “Submission for Multicultural Societies Series” on your title or something along that line!
