Catherine the Great was the longest Female Ruler of Russia.
In the 18th century, Catherine II great was the Empress of Russia, whose rule led to the modernization of the Russian Empire.

Both of the Wehrmacht officers filed a report later, but yet no report has been ever found, even no other records found during WWII other than the aforementioned legend.

She was also called “Messalina of the Neva”, while some called her the name ‘nymphomaniac’.

Her Death
Her death remained a mystery. According to history, there are two stories that probably were the causes of her death:
- She died while having sex with a horse:
As an urban legend claims that she was having sexual intercourse with a horse, and suddenly the harness was broken, and the horse crushed her.
This incident took place in 1796 when She was 67 years old at that time.
2. She died of a stroke in her bathroom:
One legend claims that when she sat on her toilet seat, the seat broke, and she collapsed in the bathroom with a stroke.
Later one day on her bed, she took her last breath.
There is also a version that existed that she was assassinated very cleverly, by hiding spring blades in the toilet seat.
