Celebrating Kalpana Chawla

I wish I could say I had a female engineer as a role model when I was growing up, but I didn’t. Fast forward to now, I’ve realized that these figures are out there- I just hadn’t heard their stories. I chose to “sell” astronaut Kalpana Chawla and her accomplishments using the value of self-direction. My hope is that this poster can serve as inspiration to young audiences, particularly young women, and encourage them to foster diversity in STEM fields.
