Sir Norman Foster — Pop-up Book

By Daniel Halper, Sigalit Perelson, and Pierce Ashworth

We are three product design students at Stanford University, and for our class project, we created a Pop-up Book for children about the famous architect Sir Norman Foster.

We chose Foster because of his wide range of famous and modern-day projects, including the Apple Park, in Cupertino, CA, as well as his wide range of projects, from homes to cultural monuments.

We chose to create an online interactive Pop-up book because we wanted it to be available immediately for children all around the world during these virtual times of the global pandemic- COVID-19.

Here is a link to a video of Pierce reading our book and taking you through Foster’s journey to becoming one of the most successful and influential architects of our time:

Additionally, here is the link to the Pop-up book if you’d like to read it on your own:

We loved working on this project and we learned a lot about Forster’s unusual path to design, architecture, and his tremendous influence on the field of our world.
